Diamond Distinction

The Premiere business operating System

“How do I lower costs?; How do I increase revenues; How do I grow my team? There are many spin-offs of the root question but the underlying topic is increasing value. What then is the answer?  We put forth that the solution is implementing a Business Operating System or BOSA BOS is an intentional architecture of leadership practices of an organization. It is an advanced way for all leaders of the organization to work together in a consistent and effective manner to drive performance.

Why is this the answer?  When we look at the key elements of any business, industry, or economy we find four basic components. They are natural resources, capital, people, and leadership.  The one factor that impacts the other three factors is leadership.  Improving leadership will most effectively result in greater value from all four elements.

How do we then improve leadership?  The answer is to implement a Business Operating System. Organizational leadership is a team endeavor.  In order for teams to perform well they must have a well-designed program of how they will work together.  This gives rise to the need for Business Operating Systems.   The proof of concept comes from several organizations that have implemented organizational leadership programs.

Examples from Wikipedia on the topic of Business Operating Systems:

Toyota Production System, Boeing Productions System, Bosch Production System, Furtive Business System  McCormick Spicey CO, Multiple Management Alcoa Business System,

The researchers and professional advisors of the Advisory Group of McCormick Chase & May have made it easy for business leaders to adopt and implement a BOS.  Using the analogy of a diamond they have captured the key principles of organizational leadership into a model that is fun, effective, valuable, and enduring.  It is called Diamond Distinction BOS.
